“C” by Lucy Bedroque Review

“C” by Lucy Bedroque

“C” is the debut album of American rapper, Lucy Bedroque, released on September 18th, 2026. Bedroque (real name Jeremiah Mark) is a rapper and producer from New York City, New York. Bedroque cites inspiration from artists such as quinn, Playboi Carti, and Lil Uzi Vert. Bedroque originally started making lofi instrumentals, while slowly evolving into digicore inspired sound, to his more recent rage aesthetic. Bedroque frequently collaborates with other artists of similar genres, such as Jane Remover, Prettifun, Slayr, and Egobreak.

Before the hype for their first studio album, they released their debut mixtape, “Unmusique”, on May 16th, 2025. This mixtape would go on to influence the sound of the lead singles, & many other tracks on their debut studio album “C”. The album’s name originates from the chemical element of Carbon, which is labeled six on the periodic table. Bedroque had a particular process and vision as to how the album was advertised to their audience. On September 4th, 2026, Bedroque would release a mini horror game, named “Paradise Chateau”, where you were meant to collect clock pieces in order to rebuild a clock in a haunted manor. As you collected clock pieces, you could also collect mini pieces of paper that were meant to be put back together in order to reveal a message; these papers, when all collected and arranged correctly, spelt out the tracklist for the album.

As previously mentioned, “C” takes inspiration from its predecessor, “Unmusique” , from its aesthetic, to the sound. Bedroque enlisted the help of previous collaborators and producers such as Legion and Skai from former producer conglomerate “DRACO FM”, Ginseng and Misogi from the label “Pink Noise”, founder of producer group “SStepteam” Ivvys, and many more in order to bring their vision for this album to life. The opening track “ALL SPEAKERS GO TO HEAVEN”, was originally previewed at the Hip-Hop Music Festival Rolling Loud, which consists of heavy metal inspired vocals, paired with distorted 808s, and synth based melodies. Other tracks, such as “THE 9TH CIRCLE” are a perfect tribute to Bedroque’s more calmer, digicore inspired aesthetic, which were a big help in pushing them into the spotlight. Bedroque also includes Soundcloud exclusive songs onto all music streaming platforms, such as “ERASE YOUR SOCIAL”, “C SECTION”, and “OROCHIMARU”. Bedroque would also go to release “BLACKPINK YZY” as a SoundCloud exclusive, which was previewed at Rolling Loud in 2026.

The producer Skai’s production is a highlight, due to how it stands out from the rest of the album, it can influence the audience to uplift themselves, and become hyper-active as if they were in a concert hearing the bass boom from the speakers onto the listeners below. With previously mentioned songs like “ALL SPEAKERS GO TO HEAVEN”, “OROCHIMARU”, and “SSJ2”, they bring a specific distorted and groundbreaking atmosphere to the album which makes it even easier to enjoy and a delight to experience. Bedroque’s stand alone production is also a highlight, because it highlights the perfections and imperfections of the project, and it shows how much time and effort they put into the project, even after delaying “c” on multiple occasions.

Overall, “C” is the perfect musical embodiment of Ying and Yang, with rage and digicore elements being sprinkled throughout the album, as a thank you to the fans for waiting through thick and thin to see the project at its best. Bedroque in an interview states that there are two more albums in store for his fans before 2026 ends. Will Bedroque follow through with their promise? Or will we have to wait until next year to see what the final product of their next albums will be?
