In depth with ALAS at WHS 


Among all the clubs at Washington High School, ALAS, the Association of Latin American Students is a cultural club that provides the opportunity for many to be exposed to Latin culture and be able to experience something new and different. Why the Day of the Dead matters


A well known tradition in Mexican culture is the “Day of the Dead” or “El dia de los Muertos.” The day of the dead is celebrated on November 1-2, giving many families the opportunity to share a few more moments with loved ones who have passed on to the “after life.”
