As spring rolls around the corner, we are moving into election season. Presidential primary elections, yes, but more importantly, Washington High School voted for next school year’s class presidents, vice presidents, and treasurers, as well as ASB President, vice president, treasurer, and secretary.
“From the River to the Sea” and “Down with Starbucks,” is what a lot of us are hearing right now, both around school or online. Palestine vs Israel is mentioned constantly, on the streets and in everyone’s instagram feed. One particular topic that is more relevant to students is boycotting brands that allegedly support Israel. The question that always follows is, do boycotts actually work?
2023 marks the first year that the Cheerleading team of Washington High School competes in competition under the current coach. The competition team consists of all of Varsity and three JV members. The first competition that marked the start of comp season was the USA Northern California Regional on November 4, 2023 and it took place at Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills. The competition team has been working on their routine since the beginning of practice, which started in the beginning of summer 2023.
