On this day 39 years ago, The Hatchet published this article about Washington’s Junior Prom. With our Prom just around the corner, let’s take a look back at what this event was like in the 80’s. Back in 1984, Prom was in Washington’s gym with a live band, some decorations, and cake. Last year it was at The Exploratorium in San Francisco and our school’s 2023 Prom is at Planck, a bowling place in Oakland. This celebration has clearly gotten much bigger and more grand. It’s funny to see just how much has changed at Washington since the 80’s.
