On this very day, 44 years ago, The Hatchet published this article about the rising cost of gas. The author complains about the prices going up to nearly $1.00 per gallon, and about how unaffordable it is for students to drive to school. In 2023 our gas prices are over four times as much. Furthermore, in the past couple of years we have experienced this very same problem, as prices have soared up to as much as $6. The article urges students to bike, walk, carpool, or take a bus to school instead of paying so much money for gas. This is a message that many of us should listen to today, especially because of the focus on climate change in our current times.
